This has a subtle nose with more mineral and earth prominent than fruit; light, very acidic, dry tannins, light body, and somewhat austere with a touch of stem aspect. Classic cool climate, lean-green Pinot from Sancerre. This could almost take the place of a bracing white wine! Good, but drink with food.

Splendid; trying it after an hour in the decanter, this wine still had that engaging minerality from the first time, but more balanced with cherry and blueberry fruit. There did seem to be a worrying lack of acidity, but after another hour or so that too emerged. Truly a delightful wine, though not one I would particularly care to age.

faint fruit on the nose, color is a cross between rose and Burgundy, easy to sip, definite panty remover, taste of strawberry and melon with just the slightest touch, call it a tartlet finish

Clear light red color. Lots of earthy notes: minerality, gravel, dirt: at first it's almost overwhelming, with only a little muted but tart cherry in the background. After 1 hour+, the earthiness recedes some, the fruit unfolds, and a nice balance appears; the initially coarse texture becomes smooth and graceful. Complex and interesting as it develops.
