In contrast to the dark fruited and somewhat clunky Marsannay Les Favières from the same producer, this is red fruited and has some elegance. I prefer this one. Very nice drinking.

Huge barnyard nose upon opening. Wife says—eww, it smells like poopy. It blows off with time, otherwise the palette showed creamy sour red cherry, raspberry, pomegranate fruit with flecks of earth and dried herbs. Slightly dry tannins on the finish, but good stuff overall for low-level Burgundy. At peak, the wine will hold a few more years.

Definitely has improved with about five additional years in bottle. Pleasant and somewhat charming, medium concentration and good acidity. Nice drinking though not very complex, should hold for a while, though best to drink over the next few years.

Once again, very good. Lovely balance between dark and red pinot fruit, with whiffs of flint and humus. Tangy, sustained finish. Great value in Burgundy.

Redcurrant, raspberry, autumn foliage. High acidity yet well-balanced due to bountiful red fruits. Wine had grip and long finish.
