  • I am sitting here utterly floored sipping this 8 year old, $8 bottle of Pinot Noir. We bought it as a tasty drink anytime decent value. But what I never dreamed was this wine would magnificently improve with age, to become as good as Pinot Noirs costing three times as much. The color is now a deep ruby. The taste expanded from red cherry to add black cherry and pomegranate. The acidity is bright and lively, with structuring tannins and a rounded texture. The wine has now made the cut to be in the weekly rotation of wines to drink with lunch and dinner, where wines under $20 are rare and wines under $10 were previously nonexistent.

  • Appealing fruity aroma. Ample slightly tart cherry fruit. Enjoyable and well-balanced. Nothing off-putting about this wine, but not overly complex either.

I am very happy I found this on the floor of my local large grocery store. I didn't even see a price on it, but it came in at $10.99. I'm happy with the find and enjoyed this bottle.

  • Very good Pinot noir with hints of "cerises à l'eau de vie" (spiced cherries in brandy), coffee roasting, and smoky notes. Very well balanced and probably near its peak. Round and long finish with nothing to interfere with the maturity of the fruit. A bargain at 24.99$ for such a ready wine (at Publix, Fl...)
The wine looks Ruby colored. The legs are Medium.
