Showing better now after a bit more bottle age. For me, the wine has settled very nicely and is more laid back than previous tastings from a couple of years ago.

What a bummer, waited a bit long. Fruit is almost gone here. A touch of melon and citrus present, but the oak seasoning is taking over. Drink now with rich dishes.

Consistent notes with below. Spicy vanilla on the nose, butter, very rich. Palate entry has an excellent mineral quality with some glycerin, midpalate goes to very crisp apple, then turns creamy and brioche, with a very lingering finish of nuts, oak, and spice with a nice acidity cutting through it.
If you can, serve with dishes containing ginger, toasted nuts, lemongrass, etc. Had with asian style tuna tartare and hit it out of the park.

This bottle did not live up to its high WS rating and was not nearly as good as the prior bottle.
