OWC from UK and stored in HongKong since... my last bottle. Capsule label and shoulder were all great. Intact dry cork. Crimson and bricking color and young. Decant for 30 mins with moderate residual. Nose was nice Cassie is smooth, hint of pencil , Cheery and very nice balanced plum and olive. some medium. Still developing ... another 5 years easily. 92+

I wasn't sure what to expect since I have never tried a Clos St.Martin before, but NM's description of green notes left me fairly hopeful that it wouldn't be an oaky fruit bomb. As it turned out, it was neither green nor oaky, nor really to my taste.
The nose is quite attractive, with dark cherry and spring flowers, perhaps a hint of violet too. The attack is quite rich and arresting, but this is definitely not a fruit bomb: the initial impression is of dark cherry, which morphs quickly into sour cherry. It's very high pitched, right at the top of the palate and there's a bass line missing to give it better grounding. The finish is a little tannic still, but also a little hot and features a big dollop of kirsch. I've had worse but I've had a lot better too. Each to their own!

Vin qui est évolué. Nez terreux, grange. En bouche tout est bien fondu. Ampleur et longueur moyenne. À boire
