Screwcap, 14.5% alc. Dense, inky red-black with a bright sheen. Thick legs.
Wow. Really something on the nose. Smells Italian. Gravel, iron, blackberry, nutty oak, chocolate, baking spices, crushed herbs and smoked meats. A hint of medicinal/band-aid elements? The flavour surges across the palate like a heavy surf, yet the wine itself is neither heavy nor overdone. Still quite tannic.
Opinion: Impressive McLaren Vale Shiraz. Wonderful drinking now, though it will still benefit from further ageing.

Still seeming quite fresh. Not sure this if this has peaked yet but was my last of 3 bottles. Still quite savoury and a very enjoyable drink over a few hours. Decant if drinking anytime soon.

Opaque dark garnet. Compared to 2014 Symphony, has lost the blue robe of youth. French oak very pronounced with vanilla and coconut notes dominating, sweet plums and baking spices aromas. Medium plus bodied, the wine exhibits good tension with an elegant texture, fine tannins and cleansing acidity, dark plums, blackberry and sour cherry.

Not a great bottle. Drinkable but bretty. Ripe fruit holding up but moving toward general problematic stage.
