Initially a bit closed but even straight from the cellar very drinkable. Opens up well after decanting, plums, sweet cherries, tar and a hint of roses, minerals and depth, freshness; well-structured, juicy but dry, firm tannins buffered very well by the extract. The next day it has softened a little but it retains its lovely Barbera-acidity. Long and intense, hint of cocoa. Polished, certainly not rustic, but has stuffing and character. Doing very well, will last until 2017 with ease.

Identical to my previous note. Continues to delight.
