I should have opened the bottle a few years ago. In its 9th year, aromas are mostly gone. Short finish with a slight lingering bitterness. Not buttery. Acidity shows medium. Tannins low-medium.

From tasting notes. Ruby red color with interesting taste. Nice enough complexity but with some better overtones that made me worry about a hangover. Will not buy again.

The "Drink by 2012" window should probably have been "Drink BEFORE 2012" ... it's definitely losing whatever charm it previously had for me. Very sour and astringent, kind of medicinal. Will not buy this again unless a new vintage shows up on the shelf.

Someone left this bottle at our house during the holidays, and I thought it'd be fun to pair it up with a decent Bourgogne for a cage match: two go in, one comes out. Well, first off, this baby's clocking in at 14.3% a.b.v. POW! Medium maroon color. Fast, watery legs. Initial nose has big, ripe fruit, almost smells like mixed berry flavored jell-o. Initial palate is a strawberry kool-aid ice cream float, fruit and vanilla. Plush and fleshy, turning big and blowsy as it opens. The mid-palate is very one dimensional. The finish absolutely drops right off the map, hollow as a two-week old jack-o'-lantern. Not my cup o' tea (or wine). Pass.
