  • A natural wine primarily comsisting of grenache, cinsault and carignan with no added sulphur and clocking in at only 12%. The wine is dark magneta in colour and relatively cloudy. Cherry, cherry and more cherry on the nose and palate which is nicely rounded out by bitter almond and a touch of black olive. This is a very easy to drink light to medium bodied red with moderate length. Although I've only had minimal experience with this style of wine before, the underwhelming tannin structure suggests that it's a wine to be consumed young, probably within five years from vintage. That said, the acidity is crunchy and fresh and gives the wine a nice vibrancy. Although I felt a spritzty element tarnished the mouthfeel a little this is definately an interesting wine I'd be happy to try again in a couple of years.
