This was ok but I had higher expectations for this wine. Notes of red cherry and plum, but not that complex. A good pairing wih the slow-roasted duck, which brought out some herbs.
This was a clone 777 and Pommard blend, single vintage, 38% aged in new oak, 325 cases made. Original Retail probably $50-$75. It was a little aged /mature for my expectations. Perhaps on the decline and/or an off bottle. My friend Janet liked it better than I did.
A WineBid lot of unknown provenance. Drink by 2015 I think.

An excellent Pinot Noir, that consumers will go gaga over.
Dark red/purple color. Vibrant nose of spice, ginger, ripe red fruits. In the mouth the wine delivers dark cherry, red berry notes, accentuated by soft tannins, good structure, and a lingering finish.
Drinkable now, but I'd cellar age for 2-3 years for maximum value and enjoyment.
