  • Bottle three of a half case purchased on release.

Xmas eve wine with a Burrata salad as the lockdown continues its merciless assault on my cellar.

Medium ruby appearance with very little lightening after 12 years or so in the bottle.

Pronounced and evolved aroma of black and (some) fruits, tobacco , baking spice some vanilla.

Medium plus in body . The structure and acidity seem to have faded considerably from a bottle consumed in September (purchased in same batch). Maybe bottle variation. Lots of similar flavor characteristics on the palate. The finish is medium to medium plus.

A delicious wine that will match with anything a good Bordeaux style blend will match with, but not sure it would be distinguishable from a similar Washington State or Napa blend in a blind tasting ....

  • Pulled this one out the cellar on a late August Saturday night as the lockdown wears on and on.

Deep ruby appearance with very little lightening after 12 years or so in the bottle.

Pronounced and evolved aroma of black fruits, cassis, tobacco and some vanilla. Is this a Napa cab or is it from Tuscany?

Medium plus in body with good structure and acidity and lots of similar flavor characteristics on the palate. The savory finish is medium plus.

A delicious wine that will match with anything a good Bordeaux style blend will match with, but not sure it has a lot to do with Tuscany....

  • Drinking window on CT is dead wrong. This has plenty of life left. I would say several years at least. Not old world as others have noted but very California Cab Sav-ish but well done. Good upon PnP (i did not get the heat others noted) but even better day 2.

  • This was pretty big and concentrated, but also a bit short and congested, limited in range. It definitely has the Tuscan terroir but missing any x factor. Hard to believe it's 13 years old - feels younger. Would benefit from more time. Pleasant enough but overpriced really. 92+pts.

  • Last and best bottle of a case of six. Day one: Hot, jammy nose. Nice complexity but heat overwhelms all. Day two w light vacuum seal: heat gone, wine singing.
