(10.5%) 100% Muscat Petit Grain – Pale gold to the eye with floral, citrus and a touch of tropical notes on the nose. Light and slightly effervescent with pinpoint bubbles on entry this one shows fresh lemon and tart grapefruit flavors. These are washed away by a minerally, flinty mid-palate where a bright acidity emerges. The finish turns tart and dry lingering on refreshingly. Vi D'Agulla (Vee-da-goo-ya) means "wine with a prickle" which is apt as the prickles start with bubbles and carry on through the tart finish. They don’t get lighter or more thirst quenching than this. It reminds me of having a radler in the biergartens of Germany. Pair with sunlight and friends.

Giant Wine Sale & Tasting Cellar on Greene Columbia,SC 4/23/2011 (Cellar on Greene, Columbia, SC): This is very good. Not really designed to be a complex wine to be over evaluated. It just tastes good. The fruit practically jumps out of the glass to the nose and palate. There is a delightful little spritz. The focused lemon fruit is wrapped in honeysuckle. Super refreshing. Just enough acid to keep it interesting. Might be the ultimate pool wine.
