The 2008 white burgundies are for the most part moving on to mid life - less acidic, more creamy buttery, and maybe a hint of oxidation. Not this one. Still fresh as a daisy and still bracing.

White flower notes on the nose. On the palate a bit a hazelnut evolving into a creamy chardonnay. It still has a pronounced acid note, but the citrusy note is out of this wine. This may actually be a rare thing in this era of modern style wines - a white burgundy that will age, and that was my hope for 2008 white burgundies. Five years in, it is still quite bracing. Finding that in a modern style white burgundy in my experience is not at all common.

Very pale yellow in color. Cool climate lemon zest, lime, minerals and touch of hazelnut oil on the nose. The palate is fresh and lively with ripe yellow-green citrus fruit and balanced acidity.

Smoky and oaky with medium yellow color. If blind I might have thought Cali Chard except for the rather austere flavor profile. Pleasant but a little one dimensional.

Very light pale yellow in color. The nose contains pears, toasted sesame, minerals and a touch of honey. The medium bodied palate shows good depth to the pear-apple fruit and excellent backbone of minerals. Nice, nice wine for the price.
