AP 1-10, so this is the late release bottling (which seems to be the only one?). I've never seen a Prum Bernkastel Lay before. Capsule and label had signs of seepage but the cork was ok and the wine seems fine. This is very nice, fully mature, dried orange and slatey peach, showing quite dry for an Auslese, missing the concentration of the best Prum wines.

Vinocamp Best Bottle Party 2014 (Uni Geisenheim): Colour: Light, watery golden. Nose: Typical slate component mixed with a lot of citurs, lemon peel, mango and a bit of honey. Palate: You know why I love the Prüm wines that much? Because they are nearly weightless. Lush but also very accurate and just a great acidity. Love the underlining, never prominent acidity. And an incredible aging potential.

A private lunch (Restaurant Tim Raue **, Berlin, Germany): AP 01 10. Extremely youthful and fresh, could easily be a 2010; an extreme example of the inimitable JJ individuality, reductive, spontaneous fermentation, peach and slate, still uneasy, floral, needs more time to come together, untamed acidity still hides some of the sweetness; excellent length. Amazing potential. Should be great 2025-2045 (no kidding, hope you will be around to share a bottle).

AP 01 10. Late bottled, bright, some soft mature notes, a bit of funk, lovely balance, sweetness spice and firm behind, so easy. Lot the finest from here but quite spunky and full of life.
