Nose was very Gamay-like. Flavour also. Very juicy, fresh with nice acidity. Good food wine and very drinkable on it's own. I was expecting more complexity for the money.

I find it hard to rate this wine as it is a very forward expression of the Marechal Foch varietal. Very tart with an almost acerbic raspberry and currant palate. The nose is pleasant earthy red fruit. It clearly needs to be paired with a dish that balances the tartness. Certainly an interesting wine and while I will rate it as an 80 I won't buy it again.

Had on its own. Fruity/grape-juicey, juicy and coated the back of my tongue a little bit. Maybe it needs the right pairing, whatever that might be. A red meat - venison - with a reduced cherry-based sauce comes to mind. Not so great with Hawaiian pizza, which is where that was heading until I switched
