  Very dark. On the nose forest mushrooms, mold, vanilla; quite delicious. Palate spicy; oaky but not exaggerated. Round warm tannins. Very drinkable now, no reason to wait. Very good value for money. You won't win anything for guessing this to be a Rioja.
  We broke our «Italian-wine-with-Italian-food» rule and had our home made pizza margherita. A perfectly good match.
