Heavy and sweet without enough acidity to give much shape to the simple, cloying flavors of brown sugar, guava, and yellow plum. Like many Gewurz, has a powerful and impressive aroma. Maybe in a few decades this could rebalance into an elegant swan but mostly I think Gewurz is a grape best served in 2 oz. pours next to stinky cheeses and not in any other context. 85-87.

Limpid golden color. Inviting bouquet of honey, peach, acetone. Rich, syrupy mouthfeel. Sweet, rich, and long, with sufficient spice and minerals on the finish to keep it from being cloying. Delicious but definitely challenging to pair with food. (FWIW paired great with shrimp etouffee.)

Pure and delicious. Spice and tropical fruit. Honeyed nuts. Deep gold color. Could you a touch more acidity but that is a minor nit. Terrific value.
