  My first try of this wine - a gift from a friend.
  
  Reminded me more of an Italian super Tuscan.
  
  medium dark brickish garnet, light meniscus
  
  Strawberry, cloves, black cherry, vanilla on nose
  
  Seems it could sit for a few more years - on the palate, quite pleasing, good body, some strong tannins, though smooth, with acid to carry it through. Sour black cherry, mix of ripe and past ripe sweet tannins, again, with fresh acid.
  
  Medium finish.
  
  Quite nice. Better than I had expected.
