  The ripeness of the hot 2003 definitely showed. It wasn't over the top and fruit bomby, but at a place where the tannins have fully resolved leaving a smooth and supple wine that has got loads of delicious fruit. The roundness and smoothness of the merlot definitely came out. The spicy Shiraz notes only came out later. Overall a delicious tasty wine that was best drunk over the 3 hours before it started closing down. The wine was at a good place for enjoyment.
