Actually not bad at all after 17 years - I would almost guess French blind although the alcohol is a bit hot which gives its new world origin away... But enjoyed it more than I expected

mellowed a bit since my last bottle. Again, lots of sediment. Very dark in the glass. Beef, spice and pepper on the nose not jammy like so many Syrah are. A bit hot, but very enjoyable.

Lots of sediment. Decanted at the start of the party. I didn't have a glass until 3 hours in. Very dark color with dark fruit and earth. Been drinking a lot of Aussie Shiraz lately, and this was a nice break (every bit as rich, but a different flavor profile).

Purple, almost black in the glass, with a ton of sediment. We decanted it an hour before dinner. Beef, black pepper, oak, blueberry, leather, barnyard, and some major heat on the nose. On the palate, it's very full bodied and sweet, with more pronounced fruit. The alcohol is also more pronounced on the palate.

The first wine tasted in our back deck buddy tasting. A very nice syrah; lots of spice, earth and leather on the nose, too. Would hold up to any good syrah food. A very nice finish.
