  • This was a typical spherical and opulent Rudesheim Riesling. Had lightly honeyed aromas of peaches, apples, lemons, lovely minerality and spice. Its rounded and lush medium bodied palate has a lovely delineated and layered midpalate. Ends longish and characterful. Riesling can get better with age. This went down very quickly!

  • Pretty closed-down at first. However, you could still tell that this wine has quite some minerality and structure. The first aromatic impressions were driven by citrus-flavours, flintstone and a subtle smokiness. After opening up a bit, the wine showed juicy and ripe peach and apricot-aromas, while being carried by its refreshing acidity. I would recommend keeping this wine for another 2-3 years before it should reach its peak. Nonetheless a nice Riesling from the Rheingau.
