I bought this bottle not long after release in Mexico. I did not cellar it properly so I did not have great expectations when I opened it. But I was surprised by how good it was, an enjoyable, mature Cabernet (56%) Merlot (35%) blend. A good ruby core but bricking and ochre at the rim. A mature Left Bank Bordeaux nose of cedar, cigar box, old leather, tobacco, spices and red plums, but with a little vanillin oak (American oak?) telling a different story. Relatively savoury and dry across the palate. Fresh, preserved and some dried red berry fruit. A dash of dry soil and some seconday dried leaf. Good weight, depth and architecture. Drinking well now.
