  • The wine offered cherry, red fruit, dark berries, plum, some chlorine, smoked Black Forest ham and Pinot spice on the nose and palate, which were joined by vanilla, Cola and liquorice on the finish, with medium-level acidity, a smooth, creamy mouthfeel and very good length. Ripe and very broad, and very, very smooth! Significant improvement from day one to day two. Decant the day before if you get the chance. At its prime; drink now and over the next few years.
