  Bright, medium-dark ruby with a purple hue. Initial funky aromas quickly blow off to reveal a rich dark fruit nose. Take just enough to coat the tongue and you will be rewarded with pure sour cherry; take a good sip and you will be knocked over with concentrated dark fruit, mouth-smacking asian spices and enough acidity to carry it across the line for a medium-long finish. Medium bodied, with dusty tannins on the finish.

  Pretty nice pinot. The characteristics of the '03 vintage obviously shine through in the wine's deep color and rich palate. Raspberries, cherries, and spice with a little bit of funk emerging after time in the glass. I was surprised at the depth of flavors and the moderately long finish. I find this to be a nice value for $20ish.
