  • Nothing remarkable about the color, some menthol and oak on the nose. On the palate more menthol, some herbaceous notes like dill or fennel, some woody notes and a drying oak finish. While some of the descriptors would seem to indicate a deep, complex, interesting wine it really came across more like an over-oaked, underfruited wine that was overwhelmed by its other characteristics. Unbalanced and uninteresting although varietally pretty much correct.
