This is really very good. This is why we drink California Cabernet. For around $20 we get all kinds of nuanced fruit and non fruit flavors. It does not take much imagination to feel the bright sunny days and cool nights that allow super long hang time building flavor concentration. Rich deep opaque color. The nose, of course exhibits California style up front fruit, but there are plenty of non fruit enhancing aromas, like cedar, cigar box, and dark chocolate. Has the texture, structure, and layers to break the 90 point glass ceiling. The blackberry, black cherry, black currant, and red raspberry fruit slips across the palate with silky tannins, and plenty of just getting integrated oak. Some graphite, eucalyptus, cedar, and wet earth supporting. No doubt about the oak, which definitely has benefited from a few years aging. Long concentrated finish about half fruit, and half non fruit.

Surprisingly flavourful nose. Surprisingly flavourful palate, albeit to a medium degree. Very good (85.5).
