Soo's birthday: Guessed ‘06 Gevrey weak GC. Cork wasn’t in the best condition apparently so this was a compromised bottle. Slightly advanced with a strange mint note.

Deep intense red fruit flavours with underpinning gorgeous woodland notes. Up there with Armand Rousseau le Chambertin 2009 — I think the Leroux was slightly better. It sparkled, a beautiful colour. One of the longest finishes of any wine I’ve ever had. Decanter an hour before drinking — maybe could benefit from 2 hours? Had two bottles, both the same.
This wine has 30-40 years left.

Paired with roast duck.
An epic wine. My score is 99-100.
