Deep red color. Strong cocoa nose with hint of berries. Medium to heavy with start berries that gives way to a black licorice and light berry. Finish is short and tastes of a peppery tar mixture. May do better with decanting. Not too bad. May try again to confirm my tasting

Dark red with some brickish coloring to the edge. Dark fruits on the nose initially, but the nose dropped off quite quickly. More of the same on the palate. Not quite at the stewed fruit stage, but getting there. The fruits are supported by some herbiness that is pleasant. There's still enough acidity in the wine to make it pleasurable to drink. If you have any left, I'd probably drink soon, but there is still acidity to preserve it for a while longer.

Quality, enjoyable wine. Medium bodied with good acidity, red fruit and charcoal/inside of Weber grill. More integrated although not necessarily more interesting on day two.

Reminds of chianti right off the bat - comparable nose, flavor profile, tannins, alcohol; if I had tasted blind that's exactly what my guess would be. Smooth, straightforward, very drinkable!

Very nice now. Decanted for over an hour. Needed the time. Nice cocoa and berries. Well integrated. Ready now but will last a few more years.
