4/24/12 -- what stands out tonight is the clean fruity blackberry taste and peppery, dark chocolate finish; this remains a very nice wine!
2/22/12 -- Happy Fat Tuesday! Tonight, a hint of tobacco joins the yummy peppery chocolate finish; a delicious bottle, yet again.
1/30/12 -- yet again: delicious bringer-of-thunder, this wine has plenty to offer
12/14/11 - another bottle: nose - gobs of blackberry, oak, and spices; taste: peppery chocolate finish stands out. Keep it coming.
10/26/11 - another bottle: as above -- blackberry, pepper, anise, and chocolate. Too bad there's no beef short rib leftovers in the frig to pair this tasty wine with.
10/6/11 - another bottle: nose - as described above, but kind of muted; taste - rounded and smooth to start, blackberry and plum taste, loads of pepper and chocolate to finish; overall: bravo! This wine is my go-to CS.
9/16/11 - another bottle: as above; this time, I'm tasting a finish that contains lots of unsweetened chocolate and produces loads of lingering, lip-smacking tannins. It's a tasty wine on its own, but is probably even better when paired with a grilled steak. This wine should be opened an hour before serving.
7/11/11 - another bottle: I'll stand by my original description and rating, but this time I also pick up a little anise on the finish.
6/13/11 - color: purple velvet; nose: oak, blackberry, alcohol, and spice; taste: full rounded mouth feel, tastes of plum with a little chalk, chewy finish of blackberry and loads of pepper backed by smooth tannins; overall: tasty and coherent, as good as its 2007 older sibling, would be delicious with grilled lamb or a steak, excellent QPR ($13 on sale) and worth buying lots more of at that price

Strong aroma's of blackberry and oak. Strong flavor of blackberry and spice with a chalky finish and smooth tannins. It's all right for me don't know if I will buy again.
