Very ripe, high toned fruit. Bacon fat. Developed, slightly unfocused. Rich mouthfeel, slightly raisiny. This is an excellent wine, that is over-ripe (in my view) but has character and a lot of layers of complexity. The lack of focus suggest this was better on release, when it was a far more ostentatious wine. Burn Cottage's wines have developed into a more balanced style, since this initial release. Drink now.

Sweet, archetypical central Otago Pinot. Big, sweet, layeyered and developing well. An opulent example, with some jammy aspects, but the wine retains its poise, thanks to a well-constructed structure. Excellent.

Tight but fragrant nose, with notes of red cherry, candied raspberry, blackberry, date, and lychee. With time, it develops a funky note of strawberry preserve. The palate combines sweet, slick fruit with powerful, zesty acidity. Black fruit (violet, cherry, blackcurrant) intermingles with pink flavours (lychee, grapefruit zest, fairy floss) that become stronger over time, becoming almost Muscat-like. Very unusual flavour profile, but delicious and well-structured.

dusty roses, earth and cherries on the nose. On the palette new world burst of fruit - again ripe cherries, not a lot of complexity. Tasty, not memorable

Dull; starts wild & funky, then spicy; that Kiwi 'brightness', suave, lithe; very long. Holding well.
