  from half bottle, dry with a bit of tannin on the start. more like a pinot noir.
  after a half hour, any fruit remaining had burnt off.
  The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like raisin and mineral. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity.

  Damn - should have held this last bottle for another 3 years. Initially very tight. After an hour or so it did open up. But I do wonder what this would be like in another 3 years.

  Tasty for sure, with juicy dark cherry, some oak, vanilla, and a hint of tar (maybe?). Medium finish. Cabernet-like. Nothing wrong with it, but not really authentic.
