Enjoyed with Pork Shoulder Braised with Dried Chiles out of Alice Water's Art of Simple Food cookbook. Paired very well as the ancho chiles were a background component of the dish and provide an earthy complexity as opposed to being spicy or front and center. The wine showed youthful color of red/purple with virtually no signs of age or fading at the edge. Decanted 1/2 hour before drinking (but was open and accessible straight out of the bottle) and held up well over the course of a couple of hours. The wine is drinking beautifully right now and was very balanced, integrated and rounded. The subtle cured meat notes, rich Mediterranean herbal complexity, and solid backbone of fruit wrapped in soft tannins made it a very stimulating wine as is. I'm looking forward to seeing future posts on this wine, as the fresh palate and vibrant color indicate many years of graceful aging to come. Excellent wine, highly recommended.

Great, saturated nose; moderate mouth, good length. Dark color but lighter feeling fruit. Good wine. Doesn't seem completely apex-ly aged, but in a good spot.
Btw: better after an hour of air!

Deep purple; rich purple fruit on the nose; nice balance of fruit forward, but enough tartness, earthiness, white pepper and acidity to make it complex. Little tannins, but a medium to long finish. Holding up well. Very nice. Sorry its my last bottle

Really held up well over 3 days. Probably best on 2nd day. Nice cherry and plum fruit with nice acidity. Spicy. Good balance. Pleasant.

Drank over two nights - held up well. Rich nose, earthy and lots of purpole fruit. Nice touch of acidity and tannins on the finish. Solid all around,
