I am unresolved on this wine; years ago I loved it... Tonight it tasted jammy, linear and frankly---boring. Paid good money for the half case and I should have drunk 'em young.... Worth about 1/3 the original retail and not grand cru in my opinion....

Bright red color. The nose is a dramatic contrast with the echezeaux, giving a ripe, high alcohol expression of cherry and strawberry. Clean and fresh style. On the palate this gives concentrated red fruit with spice and licorice. Extremely dense and layered. Finishes very strongly. Surprisingly good. Maybe I should have paid more attention to the '03s.

Young wine, will be interesting to taste again in 5 years. Licorice, coffee, burnt cherries. Agree with comment that more in the new world style, but i'd expect it to develop more in coming years. A keeper.
