  Deep, creamy, somewhat jammy berry tones explode on the nose. Blackcurrant, black pepper, mixed spices, and a subtle hint of driftwood make up the core of the aroma. Volcanic stone, forest tones, and an austere, very dark fruit tone opens up with a spin.
  
  The palate is ripe and dark with instantly firm tannins, volcanic stone, and black pepper tones. This wine is tight and edgy with a deep blackcurrant quality and a touch of leather. This is a firm, elegant, and Old World structured wine with a ripe core of fruit and a faintly bitter chocolate finish.
