Lovely pinot with floral/rhubarb nose. On the palate, lots of rhubarb & spice & plenty of tart fruit. Plenty of acidity. Stood up ok to a grilled steak.

Wow. Dark and brooding in glass, aromas of forest berries and vanilla. Palate opens with layers of complex black berry fruit, rose petal, and classic Santa Rita Hills flavors of Rhubarb pie. Terrific intensity, acidic and tannic structure should offer improvements for 5-10 years. Truly a "Gone in 60 Seconds" experience. "2A", by the way, is the Swiss Wadenswil clone, which really shines in Central Coast's cooler sites.

Popped and poured into Bordeaux glasses at a favorite restaurant (One Hundred Club in Portsmouth, NH). Gorgeous nose of red berries, flowers, and earth. Started out very restrained, with beaming acidity and pure strawberry flavors, After an hour, the acidity toned down, with the earthy fruit flavors taking on richness. Very elegant style overall, especially considering 14.5% ABV. Superlong, mouthwatering finish. First FG wine for me, will seek out more.
