Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 89 points

  • It's very dark and for a ten year old pinot has a very muted nose. There are a few fruit notes and a hint of forest floor but not as much as I was expecting. The palate is very balanced, medium weight with some structure. It's smooth with some red fruits and a nice finish. It's very nice but I can't work out if it's in a while dormant period or it's time to drink up. I bought this at the cellar door over 5 years ago. Wish I had a case to see how it had evolved. On this outing I'll certainly be looking out for this. 89 points.

  • Dark and luminous red blue hue with bright meniscus. Reticent aromas of mineral, earth, black currant, roasted coffee bean, bitter chocolate and spicy black fruit. Moderate plus acid, silken texture, firm, ripe tannin and a long cocoa powder, chalky finish. Needs time to knit. Drink 2014-2026.
