Burgundies at Kam Boat: Excellent freshness and minerality despite the warmer vintage. Well-balanced, focused citrus fruit, was in the minority who preferred this over the Michelot.

Pale green. Nicely grippy, some density to the mineral grip here and a slightly chalkiness of texture. Nice tension, no vintage flab. Rounds with air but still nicely taut with good line. Promising - only just starting to be approachable but clearly very good. ****

Wines of Hubert Lamy (Bistro 7 (7 N. 3rd St., Philadelphia)): A bit less acidity than the '11. Not necessarily "fat" but more lush, with rounder fruit. Easy to drink but less character. Chalky minerality.
