In Portland, Maine for work and always use my trips here as an excuse to explore the beers of Allagash. Tonight I am trying their Tripel Reserve (from batch 165 - drank out of a 750ml bottle). Right in my wheel house! Made in the Belgian Ale style, it has pronounced citrus notes and really nice floral lift. Color is beautiful - hazy orange/yellowish. Sadly, being in a hotel room, I have to drink it out of one of those lousy water tumblers...but oh well. If I wasn't heading to a wine dinner tomorrow night, I'd pick up a sampler 6-pack of Allagash's more rare wines. They continue to be a top producer for my tastes.
