Medium red color. The nose displays cherry and raspberry, cola, spice, and woody notes. On the palate, this wine has tart raspberry, copious spice, and vanilla undertones. The palate of this medium-bodied wine is thin and with high acidity, but it works with acidic food, such as pizza. The finish has tart fruit and is short. Overall, there is not much complexity and depth, but it is an honest wine from a lesser vintage that provides enjoyable drinking right now.

Light ruby red color. Effusive strawberry and red fruits on the nose with a vanilla overlay. The palate is relatively simple with tart, wild strawberry, red cherry, and a healthy dose of vanilla. The mouthfeel is somewhat thin, but the acidity makes it lively allowing it to match nicely with many different foods. The finish is short, but it is a perfect example of an enjoyable everyday wine. Overall, one of my QPR of the year, as it was only $3.50 per bottle.

Translucent, brick red color with an expressive nose of plums, raspberry, soy, spice, and tobacco. The initial attack is a mixture of plums, tart raspberry, light tobacco, and a hint of vanilla. It is light-bodied and refined with an acidic spine, a thin mid-palate, and a short finish, but it is an easy drinking food wine that went well with pepperoni, black olive, and mushroom pizza. Overall, it lacks the richness of a great vintage, but at $3.50 per bottle, it does serve its purpose as an enjoyable pizza wine with some interesting characteristics.
