(Rudd Oakville Estate Proprietary Red) Pre-release (set for Spring 2012 release) - opaque purple red violet color; nice blackberry, boysenberry, berry nose with subtle caramel; tight but plush, rich fruit, boysenberry, berry, black fruit, blue fruit palate with luscious, fine-grained tannins; needs 2-plus years; medium-plus finish 93+ points

Magnum - drank over 3 nights. Blackberries, Blueberries, soft tannins. Best on last 2 nights and especially with the roasted leg of lamb. Sadly my last 08.

Midnight purple with violet-rose at the edges. Mulberries and plums on a somewhat reticent nose. Silky-smooth texture. Deep plums, blackberries, mulberries, dark chocolate, all of which linger into a tight, long finish. This wine has another 15 years ahead of it at least. Delicious.
