Deep garnet red Savoury bouquet of leather, tobacco, dried fruits and scorched soil. Some undergrowth running to evergreen leaves gives a touch of vegetal intrigue? Medium-bodied, there is a tobacco and a dry note - almost corky? Sun-baked fruit with slightly drying tannins, yet the mid-palate is not all dried out as expected but shows a sweet cinnamon spice, yet as the wine opens, there is a mouldy character. Perhaps the vegetal was a little scalping? Yet so slight it doesn't feel utterly flawed. Fairly generous finish with some rum and raisin on the finish. Hard to score!

Nearing the end of its drinking window, but still very enjoyable. Tar notes, in addition to a great classic Tuscan Cab profile of mint, black fruit, bramble, rhubarb. These folks know how to make wine.

I believe the blend is 70% Cab Sauv, 30% Sangiovese. A nice tasty wine for a mid 20's price range (up here). It is what it is …. tasty, simple yet some complexity, easy drinking, inexpensive.
Still juicy and fresh tasting. Dark berries, blueberry and lemon peel. Not weighty on the mouthfeel. Somewhat rustic with a midpalate of spices, berries, mocha, coffee, earthy, herbs and drying berries. Also getting some tobacco and licorice on the finish. Decent length to finish …. but not a long finish. A good little wine, just an everyday drinker. Medium bodied. Just wanting a bit more depth to everything …. but you normally don't get that for this price range.

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. It smells like toast. It tastes like red currant. some sediment.
