Drank this a while ago but must have forgotten to remove it. I remember it being transitional between extremely fruity (when I bought it two years ago) and some earthy tones coming through. If you want the fruity style drink now, if you want the more mature style sit on it a little longer.

PnP at the restaurant. Label says 100% Temprenillo. In the Glass: Deep ruby, light legs, dregs. On the nose: Rosebushes, good spice hit, faint lavender. In the mouth: Light/medium mouth feel, tart cherries on the tongue, hot spice and light tannins down the throat, light finish. It opened up some with time in the glass, overall a very quaffable selection. Restaurant price $25. It'd make a nice everyday drinker if the QPR was ~ $10-$13. Liked it, may try to find some locally. 100% Tempranillo. Dark ruby color. Aromas of ripe black cherries and light oak. Medium-light bodied palate showing cherry, spice, and light oak. Smooth tannins. Medium length finish. Good QPR. Enjoyed at Mesa Las Vegas – paired perfectly with Bobby Flay’s coffee-rubbed ancho chili filet mignon.
