  This is actually for the 2010. Dinner with M&H, and a gift from M upon his return from Romania. As with the Menestral (reviewed earlier) this was more of a novelty than a wine experience. But what fun to drink a Romanian red! Hot and ruddy upon first pour with a brick-red color and thin legs. Not much going on aromatically -- perhaps some soil and blackberry notes. The palate is lean as well, with nuances of black and blue pit fruits and a short finish. Had been cellar stored for more than a month, so I don't think the suitcase travel had an effect any longer.

  Wine Education Service - Romania (LSE): Opaque, some age showing.
  Lovely nose, mature notes, raisins and coffee.
  Still fruity but this tastes mature, complex, very soft mid palate, pretty long, at its peak.

  Restaurantkøb i Bukarest. Farven er mørkerød og tæt. Duften er ikke særlig markant men der er toner af mørke bær og lidt fadpræg anes. Smagen er total blød og rund og med en god fylde. Dejlig balanceret med relativ lidt syre og ligeledes tanniner. Der er tydelige toner af vanille og krydderier samt mørke bær. Dejlig vin som nok er bedst til mad.

But I'm not swearing off Feteasca Neagra.
