  Takes a minute to open up, then it develops a nice blackstrap molasses nose, with syrupy cherries and a good tannin structure. On the palate, the tannins start in, not too bold, but just right. Lingering finish, very pleasant. Not as bold as a merlot, but a good wine to have with red meat. Color is a lovely deep purple.
