Cherry, blackberry and quite a bit of earth on the finish. Some of the earth blew off and it drank better with the roast Atlantic Salmon and with the wild and long-grained rice (cooked in chicken broth) than on its own. Still not as good as the 2011 vintage. We paid $15.75 for these on close-out: good QPR for that price. (I'd be less impressed for $35 retail)
This was the first vintage of PN made by Vivier and I think their winemaking has improved in time.
I think this was our last bottle. Drink now -- maybe hold?

This was the 3rd or 4th wine at the CS party at Barbara and Lance's house. It was good but not terrific, with notes of cherry, blackberry but lots of earth, too.
Drink now.

Cherries, red fruit, flowers and light on its own. A good pairing with our pork sausage with fennel, which brought out licorice in the wine. And ok with roast herbal chicken. Not as good with the wild rice.

As burgundian as Oregon gets. Subtle layered fruit, dark cherry, blackberry. Licorice & spice. Earth and oak follow but never overpower. Really very pretty Oregon Pinot.

Fine on its own but completely overpowered by the too-spicy Indian food from Cross Culture (dinner order)
