  There are few greater pleasures than an old Zilliken auslese. the 1993 may yet turn out to be comparable to the 89 and 90 but it is not there. It is very nice, taking 10 minutes in the glass to begin to show its stuff--petrol, honey and wildflower nose with exotic fruits and kumquat tones in the palate. But I never got, over the course of an hour ,the full complexity of other bottlings nor did I experience the full transformation that the 94 spatelse demonstrated
