Not as good as the last bottle, that was just drinking perfectly and got comments from all. This was more normal, but still bery good. Closed down a bit? A bit better on days 2 and 3 than one. 87-88 night 1. 88+ day 3. A very nicely balanced merlot.

The balance and elegance of this wine is excellent. Great succulent cherry fruit with enough waxy notes and hint of earth to add interest. This paired well with turkey and hung with several high end pinots. I'll give it abig score because it is so damn pleasant even if not ponderous.

Color: Deep Opaque Burgundy. Nose: Cherry, blackberry, minor vanilla and oak. Taste: Fruit medley at first, followed by by dark chocolate and some earth, tannins are well developed, good acidity, a bit astringent on the finish. Decent complexity, but comes across a bit thin, and not as full in the mouth as I'd like. A good merlot, but not great.

Still quite nice after some air. Balanced and classically styled.
