Poured into a stemless wine glass (I have no true beer glasses), which I guess is akin to a snifter/tulip; darker amber in color with a slightly tan, off-white head; wonderful aromatics of oranges, lemons, vanilla cream, toasted wood; very creamy, caramel palate, with notes of citrus and apple, not overly sweet by any means, balanced; also, the high alcohol content (9.6% ABV) is completely masked by the hops and these other characteristics; really nice mouthfeel that picks up a little weight as the beer warms slightly; long finish.
One of my faorite Lagunitas as it seems to do well year-round; warms you up in the cooler months and is still refreshing during the summer.
