Delicious. The last 2.5 years since my last TN have been very good to this wine. The wee bit of an edge seems to have come off, and the wine is better integrated now. I consider this wine to have just barely entered the front end of its drinking window now - at least for my palate. Powerful black/dark fruit. Bit of leafy complexity from the 13 years of age. Truly a lovely, balanced wine and this is the best showing I've experienced thus far. Got 6 bottles left and will enjoy them over the next 10-15 years.

I understand this wine to be 100% Clos des Epeneaux but from the younger vines 23-27 years old. Nose jumps out - ripe fruit and some florals. This is a full-bodied and black-fruited Pommard. Deeply colored and densely packed. Good integration...the tannins only become noticable on the long finish, which also later features some iron. Acids are well integrated and merge well with the abundant blackberry, black cherry and raspberry. A ripe wine, but in no way overly heavy. Happy to have this in the cellar and will wait 5 years to try the next bottle.

Nice tartness at the beginning followed by great fruit in the middle, and a nice long, smooth finish. Excellent balance and well integrated.

Quite enjoyed this Pommard, but maybe not a big surprise considering my propensity to enjoy wines from this locale.
