Deep purple in the glass with restrained deep red and black fruit aromas. Dark blueberry on the palate with the characteristic Hall cocoa notes. Despite being 10 years old there’s still some significant tannins at play here and with a bracing acidity on the finish that IMHO significantly mars the overall experience. The fruit fell away after about four hours, so if you open a bottle of this merlot, drink it down fast! (Terrible on day 2.)

ruby/purple, long legs, full body, mild/ black fruit aroma, and flavor, balanced oak and earth, fair complexity and finish; just not interesting to my palate and a poor value

Pleasant nose of red cherries, moderately deep purple/red color, good clarity. In the mouth, soft, supple tannins, subdued fruit flavors, most notably red plums, with a slight hint of blackberries. Consistent with my prior note, not a knock your socks of sort of wine, but drinks very nicely.

nice rich full bodied merlot, not a fruit bomb at all, beautifully structured and aging wonderfully.
